The focus of the animation work was to continue to explore
various social narratives and to dramatise the mundane.
I used stop-motion animation to explore the incidental
and the domestic, in an exploration of monotonous
structures in everyday life. I enjoyed the process because
it open up new mediums to my practice and allowed
the ceramic figures to came alive. The figures
I had been creating needed to develop into
sequenced images to develop the narrative farer
then a single frame. That lead on from
my figurative work, by creating structures of domesticity,
which my protagonist s can occupy.
The figures were made for modelling clay
with an internal armature, so that their positioning
could be altered.
